Soy Janice Velasco,(México City, 1980) cirujana general y del aparato digestivo y artista visual afincada en Barcelona. Desarrollo mi práctica bajo el nombre de Negatocollage y estoy formada también en Mediación en Arte Contemporáneo por la Universitat de Barcelona.

Trabajo con collage analógico, utilizando radiografías e imágenes médicas reales, fotografía, libros antiguos, material erótico y otros materiales. Mi formación quirúrgica atraviesa mi manera de trabajar: pienso, rumio, busco, corto, reorganizo y pego.

I work from Barcelona with analogue collage, using real X-rays and medical images, photography, old books, erotic magazines and other material. My surgical background shapes the way I work: I think, ruminate, search, cut, rearrange and glue.
